Manikandan’s participation with his wife Sofia in the tv reality show Mr and Mrs Chinnathirai Season 3 which gave him a spotlight in the Television industry. He also participated in Vijay TV’s dance reality TV show Jodi Number One Season 4. He is a contestant in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 6, hosted by Kamal Haasan.
