Poonam made her big-screen debut in Rajjo where she played the role of Acharya Deshbhushan’s PA. Poonam got married to television actor Sanjay Gagnani on 28 November 2021. Poonam was was nominated at The Indian Telly Awards 2014 for the Best Supporting Actor category for the show ‘Do Dil Bandhe Ek Dori Se’ in 2014.
