Priya Bhavani Shankar is an Indian television presenter, serial and film Actress. She started her career as a Newsreader in the Tamil channel Puthiya Thalaimurai from 2011 to 2014. She is known for her role in the Tamil Serial, Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai. She rose to fame for her debut in the Tamil Serial Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai (2014 -2016) on Star Vijay Channel. She hosted many TV shows such as Jodi Number One, Airtel Super Singer Season 5, Filmfare Awards South, and Kings of Dance. She is one of the active actresses in the Tamil Industry. 

She was born on 31 December 1989 in Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu, India. Her father’s name is Bhavani Shankar and her mother is Thangam Bhavani, also she has a brother named Shiv Shankar, younger to her. Priya Bhavani Shankar completed her B.E from B.S. Abdur Rehman Crescent Engineering College and later continued her post-graduation degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Anna University, Guindy, Chennai, India.

After quitting her job in Infosys in 2011, she joined Puthiya Thalaimurai Channel as a News Reader. She worked there for three years from 2011 to 2014.
