Akshata Murty is an eminent Indian fashion designer and businesswoman, social activist. She is well-recognized as the daughter of Infosys co-founder N. R. Narayana Murthy. She holds 0.91 percent of the shares in Infosys. Akshata is married to Rishi Sunak who is the Chancellor (British Conservative Party) of the Exchequer of the UK.

Akshata and Rishi have two daughters, Krishna and Anoushka. On 07 April 2022, British media reported that Akshata claimed a non-domiciled status in the UK. Owing to her controversy, Rishi Sunak’s wife Akshata announced that she will pay UK taxes on all her income including earnings from India. As of April 2022, the total value of her 0.91% stake in Infosys is over $900 Million. Akshata used to spell her surname differently as she removes ‘h’ from Murthy.
