“Adam Reed, 13, still mourning the sudden death of his father a year earlier, walks into his garage one evening to find an injured pilot. This mysterious pilot turns out to be the older version of himself from the future, where time travel is still in its infancy. He has risked everything to make it back in time on a secret mission. Together, they must embark on an adventure into the past to find their father, set things right and save the world. Working together, both young and adult Adam, the three come to terms with the loss of their father and have a chance to heal the wounds that shaped them. To make the mission even more challenging, the two Adams discover they don’t really like each other, and if they’re going to save the world, they’ll have to figure out how to get along first.”

It means you will see the older Adam time travel to return to the past and find information his late father left behind to save the Earth with the help of the younger Adam.
